Bahubhali, A mirabile | Movie Review

It’s difficult to write a genuine review without some spoilers, so let me make this clear.. It will have some! If you haven’t watched the movie yet, go watch it, feel it, enjoy it and come back with pride for a review!! I don’t do reviews often, So don’t expect a Traditional Style.

There is a bit in the trailer, which reveals, people trying to pull a huge statue of Bhallaladeva, revealing his might and cruelty at the same time. The director established the scale of Bahubali, with the same style, with the name Bahubali, being pulled up , which is mightier than you can expect. A word is sure to come from your heart, at that very moment : Mesmerizing.

The promotions of this movie took place by releasing a poster every week. By this, the makers caught your pulse. You will wait for those moments and when they do arrive, you are sure to cheer. When the young Bahubali, hidden for the time being as shivudu raises with free spirit, you tend to raise your love for him along with that. My favourite song in the movie is ‘shivudu’ and for me, the scene itself turns to a favourite.

After experiencing some extraordinary visuals for the first time in Telugu film, the director actually drags you into narration. The visuals continue to treat you but it's hard to distinguish.. For they almost feel a part of the story. Hero’s character is established with some mighty fights and at the same time running the story along. It won’t be exaggerating, if I say, you would want to see Amarendra Bahubali as early as possible. The director, does give you that.

More than Bahubali, its Ramya Krishna and Sathyaraj, who stay in your minds even long after the movie. It is just because of some splendid action from both of them. As the movie goes on Prabhas, sorry Bahubali becomes larger than life. It may sometimes occur to you that, Bahubali and Bhallaladeva are not humans and it won’t be hard for you to believe that.

Tamanna impressed with her angry yet cute character. You may feel, little weird on how the warier Tamanna is transformed into a Romantic Girl. The director does some good work, in rushing through the obvious yet required narration and giving you moments to fall in love with, feel pain, wait for revenge.

The bullfight, is sure a quality C.G.I. Rana excelled himself in the fight scene. I should say, Bahubali, the Beginning, could not quite showcase the cruelty and ability of Rana but there are sure, in stock for the conclusion next year.

Anushka does reminds us of Arundhati, when she yells back at Satyaraj. Hold your seats tight. We are yet to see the Anushka, who flashed in the Making Videos of Bahubali.

Prabhas, The Bahubali. The word itself describes him. He excelled as an actor and eased into the role. There can be no word, that can describe his dedication. Rajamouli, the entire team has given, the Telugu Film Industry, moments to be proud of. Hatsoff.

Wait…..

This is not the end. For the one, who watched Bahubali, it won’t be difficult to imagine, what’s in stock for Bahubali - The Conclusion. We are sure to get some interesting plots from Bhallaladeva, Love Story between Amarendra Bahubali and Devasena and Finally the epic battle between Bahubali's and Bhallaladeva. It won’t be any superlative, if I say, we are going to get, a traditional version of “Batman v. Superman”.

Note: Bahubali - The Beginning is the first movie I reviewed in my writing career and I am so over whelmed by the fact that, It grabbed the Best film award at 63rd National Film Awards, India. It also won the Best Special effect category. Congratulations to the whole team.

I do what I do | Book Review

Book Name: I do What I do Author: Raghuram Rajan Publisher: Harper Collins, 2017 (978-93-5277-014-4) One of the most anticipated Economic Book of the year, especially coming from an Ex-RBI governor and one who left RBI just before the Demonetization. As the sensation loving media, repeatedly asked Mr. Rajan's take on Demonetization and his eventual silence had lead up to anticipation that this book may hold some necessary answers. There is a wide spread rumor in media and general public that, Raghuram Rajan was removed by the government (Which is not true!) and installed a Gujarat Cadre Civil Servant Dr. Urjit Patel, who now has turned into a puppet of The current Government (again, not true!). Surprisingly, this book holds some answers, but not exactly to the sensational questions but to those questions, which may effect the credibility of RBI. My Initial take on the book - A Bunch of well arranged speeches, which is not much of a sensational material for media, which ...

"Hello..."

For ages, there are many stories said about this love. I never actually felt it until, you came. You came into my life, showed me how sweet this feeling is, But before I realized your presence, you left, leaving me in vain! There are many theories on how this love changed over the years, rather ages. Poet Molla, in her version of Ramayana, describes the love story of Lord Rama in a dramatic way. Rama was sent by Dasaratha, along with Vishwamitra, to protect his yajna from Maricha. Having done that successfully, he receives divine knowledge from vishwamitra. He then goes along with viswamitra to sita swayamvar. When Rama enters Janakpur, he walks in between a garden, which is blossoming with flowers of different colours and fragrances. In the midst of this beauty, he saw Sita. They exchanged the looks and felt an instinct divine connection. That is what Molla describes as Love. The relation between Krishna and Rukmini, though many see it as devotion, is love for some. The ...
