"Writing is a simple process". Don't be shocked when I make such a statement. Like everything else in life, even this statement comes with strings attached - certain terms and condition. Of all those terms and conditions, There is one that can be simply followed , if you choose a side.
When we choose a side, we will tend to follow the ideology of the side and there is nothing wrong in doing that then. But if you are trying to neutral, you are seriously in trouble.
Whatever it may be, you are analysing, there are always two sides. You may argue, not always, like say, in a war between God and Evil. Even in such a situation which appears to be one sided, there is definitely another side and it is just that it is difficult to see it, having been overshadowed by other side.
I would like to give you a real time example. Many of us, over shadowed by our patronage, overlook the fact that, there are victims of brutal acts by Army. It is hard to believe at times but true!
By reading the the above paragraph, you may now tend to look only one side of this article - It is some kind of anti message. How many of you are still in neutral mode?!
As one of my friend writes in her article Tinted Views, many of us form impressions on a person at the very first instant and tend to carry on with them along, this is also true in case of persons, events, books, articles or as such any thing.
Its not a mistake to do so but blinding by such impressions is definitely not advisable.
This can be best illustrated by bringing into picture, the recent events surrounding the death penalty of Yakub Memon. There are certain eminent personalities who argued against the death penalty. They have raised their voice against the menace of death penalty and not that of the death penalty awarded against Yakub Memon. Certainly many of us failed to see that!!
Parliament is set up for a dialogue between Government and the opposition. In such a process, they pass through certain fights among themselves, influenced by political and other factors. We trying to observe them, most often observe them only from a single side. Many of us may tend to arrive at a conclusion that opposition is simply trying to disrupt the functioning of the government and others see it as Government being arrogant.
Even though most of my examples are revolving around broader aspects, I would like to emphasise on the need to look from a need to neutral point in day- to-day life.
It is said that, we take a decision at the very beginning and try to argue with our own mind in convincing that our decision is right. That basically happens because we choose a side too easily and tend to do mistakes.
We cannot avoid taking decisions in a blink but what we can do is being sure that our decision is right by trying to be neutral. It is a difficult process to follow but it starts to affect us. If I say, it would affect positively, I am already taking a side!!
What we can't avoid is forming first impressions - What we can do by trying to be a neutral observer is know the Truth. Know what is right for us. Know the true character of a person!!
May be it can find some good in beings around us by trying to go by Truth rather than the first Impressions. May be that could make our lives even more simpler.
In a conclusive word I would sày, there is nothing wrong in tossing a coin and then arriving at a decision. But give the coin a proper Spin!
